Before founding Lydia Baehr Public Relations in 2006, Lydia developed several successful public relations campaigns for the Houston Symphony, Society for the Performing Arts, Dominic Walsh Dance Theatre, the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Institute of Hispanic Culture.

She is a winner of multiple Public Relations Society of America Excalibur Awards, including the 2006 Gold award for Best Electronic Press Kit for The Lord of the Rings Motion Picture Trilogy: The Exhibition, the PRSA Gold award for Best Electronic Press Kit for Tibet the Exhibition, the Electronic Press Kit Silver award for The Dead Sea Scrolls, and the PRSA Gold Award for Best Media Relations Campaign for Gold! National Treasure, Cultural Obsession.

A 2000 graduate of the University of St. Thomas, she continues to work and live within minutes of many of the community and cultural organizations she serves. From the arts and education to affordable health care, Lydia's list of clients is a testament to her dedication to strengthening the community.

Lydia also passionately believes in mentoring aspiring public relations professionals by cultivating talent and providing internship opportunities. Never a dull day at the office, Lydia says she learns from her interns every day. Many of her former staff have gone on to land impressive positions in the community.
