The Weather Museum Inaugural Gala

The nation's first weather museum launched its Inaugural Gala February 2, 2009 at the Houston Zoo. The Gala featured an awards ceremony honoring 2008 Weather Heroes and Hurricane Ike Heroes. Mayor Bill White, Judge Ed Emmett and the Ike Crew of Coast Guard Dolphin Helicopter 6512 were among the recipients of awards presented by the Weather Museum.
